I love it when this happens.
This morning I woke up to a dead PC. I had turned it off last night for the first time in over 2 months, and it did not want to wake up. I couldn’t even get it to post so my first thought was the motherboard. After tearing almost everything that was non essential to the mobo booting I found that it was not, in fact, the entire mobo, but a single ddr channel – rendering 2 full gigs of my super fast Mushkin 1066 ram useless.
Now I have to get a new mobo because this ones warranty just expired 2 weeks ago. This is the worst. In order to at least match the performance of this board, I’ll have to cough up at least $215. This ain’t gonna happen for awhile. DAMN IT!
I guess it’s not that bad… at least I can use one of the ram banks.
